CHINA LOOSENING COVID-19 TRAVEL POLICY
CHINA LOOSENING OF COVID-19 TRAVEL POLICY & RESTRICTIONS
In recent days, many Chinese metropolises, including Beijing, Guangzhou, Tianjin, Chengdu and Chongqing, have optimized and adjusted COVID19 control measures. As pandemic control measures are steadily refined, China's economy will gradually recover, becoming a global bright spot.
This means more than 100 million people in China can now travel more conveniently locally and as well as overseas. For foreigners entering into the China region undergoing mandatory quarantine in government-approved accomodations/hotels followed by domestic quarantine will eventually come to a good end without wasting time and spending on quarantine accomodation fee. In Guangzhou, residents only need a green health code to enter public place, including hospitals where they previously hade to undergo a regular nucleic test. The local government in Chongqing suggested peopel not to do nucleic tests unless necessary. Similarly, residents only need a green health code for public transportation or to enter residential compounds.
Therefore, their travel policy adjustments have provided sufficient room for China's economic recovery amid the pandemic after the country have been hit hard by the Omicron variant from the past 2 years.
As China's pandemic control measures are optimised step by step, it's economy is expected to gain further strength.
